Seasonal hydrological characteristics assessment Energy production and conservation Vulnerability to compounded disasters Impacts of coastal inundation on coastal ecosystems
Flood forecasting Policy-relevant information for de-centralized sustainable energy resources in Africa Predicting vulnerability to urbanization and to climate change Monitoring and Modelling Coastal Lagoons-Management

Conference sub-themes of a more operational nature are:

  • Capacity-building: achievements and challenges
  • Spatial Data Infrastructure, SDI
  • Space Policy in Africa
  • National and regional programs and projects
  • New products and services

For these topics discussion sessions will be organized with a duration of 90min each. Each session is moderated and introduced by a keynote (15min) followed by short presentations (5min) to facilitate the sharing of experience and further enhance the exchange among presenters and audience (20-30min).
